NSS ACTIVITY REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER 2018



1/9/18- NSS volunteers and teachers visited flood hit houses
in Anappuzha and provided groceries and needy items to families.
4/9/18- A motivational class was held for the students to
relive them from stress and trauma caused by the flood. It helped to instill
confidence in students and bring their interest back into academics.
5/9/18- NSS PO and volunteers visited houses of students who
are affected by flood. They collected further details of their loss and current
situation.
11/9/18- Ophthalmology camp was organized by NSS unit in
association with Little Flower Hospital, Angamaly.
14/9/18- Hindi day was celebrated. A message was delivered
by NSS leader Dhiya Thomas in school assembly.
15/9/18- Flood relief kits assorted as an initiative of NSS
unit in association with Indian Navy Officers were distributed to community and
students
19/9/18- PROJECT MUZIRIZ-( A project to beautify Muziriz )
was inaugurated by Mr.Noushad  P.M,
Managing Director of Muziris Project . The function was held at school
auditorium. It was decided that each NSS volunteers will plant and take care of
a sapling for the rest of the year.
21/9/18- in association with -PROJECT MUZIRIZ-planting 100
saplings were held. Each volunteer planted a sapling and placed a shield, from
toll in to kottapuram market.
24/9/18-nss day celebrated by collecting and distribution of
12 beds, umbrellas, water bottles, lunch boxes, dress items, groceries etc..
For flood affected families. Things were distributed by rev. principal sr.
daisy.
25/9/18- rally against anti-drug was carried out. NSS
volunteers holding placards participated in the rally.

ACTIVITIES AUGUST


















1/8/18 – Talk on Swachh Bharath was organized by the unit. Speech was delivered by Beena teacher. At the end of the event oath was taken by all NSS functionaries.
1/8/18- Survey on  ‘adisthana vivara sekharanam’ was done by all volunteers in the guidance of NSS PO
3/8/18- NSS volunteers cleaned classrooms and laboratories.
4/8/18- NSS volunteers cleaned lawns and toilets in the campus.
5/8/18- As a part of  ‘Swachh Bharath Abhiyan’ NSS volunteers cleaned library, auditorium, verandahs ,prayer room etc…
6/8/18- NSS volunteers visited adopted village and made them aware about the importance of cleanliness.
10/8/18- Celebrated feast day of Principal Sr.Daisy. On behalf of students Principal was presented with saplings. Principal and volunteers planted the saplings in school garden.
10/8/18- Students cleaned adopted village and presented a speech and placards on the importance of clean surroundings.
13/8/18- NSS volunteers cleaned premises of Govt.Homeo dispensary.
14/8/18- NSS unit held a meeting and discussed future plans of sustaining cleanliness in  the campus. Rev.Sr.Daisy declared the campus as clean.
15/8/18- Celebrated 72 Independence day when NSS volunteers gathered at Municipal town hall and reached police station ground where the MLA hoisted the national flag.
28/8/18-post relief camp,  our school was cleaned by NSS volunteers . Cleaning was carried out in the class room, toilets,store, school campus  etc.
29/8/18-nss volunteers collected,sorted and distributed dress for the flood hit families ,LP ,UP and high school sections.
30/8/18-students distributed groceries and clothes to their classmates who were severely affected by flood .
30/8/18- Volunteers made notebooks as a part of flood relief activities.

ACTIVITIES JULY













2/7/18 – As a part of “Haritham” 100 saplings (sponsored by KCYM) were distributed in the community .
2/7/18- Aptitude test for plus one NSS aspirants was conducted . Student cleaned the campus courtyard
3/7/18- In connection with FIFA world cup 2018 ;a prediction contest was conducted in the campus. Students and teachers participated in the contest.
6/7/18- 25 food packets were collected and distributed to Daya Old Age Home .
10/7/18 – On the day of class PTA ,NSS PO conducted an orientation class for parents of students who aspire to join NSS. Instructions and guidelines were clearly stated.
13/7/18 – 25 food packets were collected and distributed to Daya Old Age Home
19/7/18- An orientation class for NSS aspirants was conducted. Students were given instruction about the working of NSS .Objectives ,fee structure special camp guidelines etc..
20/7/18 – 32 food packets were distributed to Old Age Home.
21/7/18- NSS unit of our school collected grocery items and distributed it to flood relief camp at Govt.JB school ,Cherpu.
26/7/18- St.Anne’s day was conducted with pomp and fervor. Fresher’s day was conducted. Students got to know each other.
27/7/18- 32 food packets were collected and distributed to Old Age Home.
28/7/18-  As a part of “Haritham” more than 500 paper bags were made by NSS volunteers and distributed to various shops and encouraged them to use paper bags instead of plastic bags.
30/7/2018- ‘Dathu Grama Prakhyapanam ‘ was done in the presence of adopted village natives.
30/7/2018- Organ donation seminar was conducted for students by teachers.

ACTIVITIES JUNE








18/6/2018- Students were engaged in cleaning programme . They cleaned the classrooms before praveshanolsavam as a part of “Swachh Bharath Abhiyan”.
19/6/2018 – For praveshanolsavam , to welcome the new comers ,students made 150 eco friendly paper pens out of used A4 sized paper sheets and one sided chart papers .
20/6/2018 – Articles for hand written NSS newspaper were collected and written for fair. 
21/6/18- On praveshnolsvam eco friendly paper were distributed among first year students. Paper pens were launched by Rev.Fr.James Arakkathara , KCSL Director. NSS newspaper “VIGNANAPATHRIKA “was released by Rev.Fr. Johnson Panketh.
22/6/2018 – Food packets were collected and distributed to Daya Old Age Home.
25/6/2018- Orientation class on career guidance was conducted by Dhanya Joseph, Career Guidance Cell In Charge.
26/6/18- Reading week celebrations. Students bought books and organized book exhibition in their respective classes. Teachers judged the competition and H2 class was declared as winners. Students distributed books to school library and NSS library.
29/6/2018- 28 food packets were collected and distributed to Old age home.
